PEPP represents a complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed to teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.
This is a HYBRID course (online precourse work and hands-on skills day). You are responsible for completing all online materials prior to attending the course. After registering for the course you will receive an online access code and instructions for accessing the online materials.
The BLS Hybrid Ticket Option is geared to the EMR or EMT and will take up to 8 hours to complete the online learning and 4-5 hours of classroom / lab on September 9th.
The ALS Hybrid Ticket Option is the ALS Hybrid Course which is geared to the AEMT or Paramedic and will take up to 14 hours to complete the online learning and 6-8 hours of classroom / lab on September 9th.
The course fee includes coffee, water, and lunch to facilitate a working lunch. Upon request, a student may borrow a PEPP book from the Bennington Rescue loan library to be returned the day of class or may purchase their own at jblearning.com. The course uses the updated third edition of the text including the 2015 AHA guidelines.
No refunds are issued for any cancellations within 7 days of the course.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
The American Academy of Pediatric is approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE). Participants who successfully complete the PEPP Course are eligible to receive continuing education units (CEUs) through CAPCE. The BLS Hybrid Course provides 8.5 hours of CEUs. The ALS Hybrid Course provides 12.5 hours.
CAPCE is recognized by the National Registry of EMTs for continuing education credit. If you are attending from outside VT and do not have NREMT certification please check with your state EMS office prior to enrolling.
